TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General Policies

1.      Quotes: Quotes are valid for thirty days.

2. Maintenance of Seasonal Lighting Displays: Northern Lights maintains seasonal holiday lighting displays from normal wear and tear for the duration of their lifetime (5-7 years) for no additional cost. This includes:

o   Replacing out or broken bulbs.

o   Reclipping lines that get blown down or fall off.

o   Replacing faulty or broken connectors and clips.

o   Replacing faulty timers.

Northern Lights will charge for additional materials needed to replace broken or faulty materials if they are deemed to be broken or faulty due to:

o   Vandalism.

o   Improper storage by client.

o   Natural Disasters.

Self-storage or leaving seasonal holiday lighting up after takedown voids the complimentary maintenance service.

3. Rescheduling: Clients who store their own seasonal holiday lights are charged a $200 rescheduling fee if they fail to leave the lights out for technicians on the date of installation.

4. Ghosting: If clients of seasonal holiday lighting installations fail to respond or communicate with Northern Lights for 2 years, their materials will be reused or recycled.

5. Jellyfish Lighting: Northern Lights guarantees labor and materials on Jellyfish Installations for a year after the installation date. Materials have a 3-year warranty by Jellyfish.

6. Patio/Bistro Lighting: Northern Lights guarantees labor and materials on Patio/Bistro Installations for a year after the installation date.

Payment Schedule

7. Quote Approval: A 50% deposit is required to approve a quote and get on the Northern Lights schedule.

8. Job Completion: The remaining balance is due on the final day of installation. 

Changes

9.    Changes: Changes to the agreed on date of installation or lighting display by the client must be submitted in writing at least 72 hours before installation.

Cancellations

10. Cancellations: must be submitted to Northern Lights in writing.  The effective cancellation date is the date upon which Northern Lights receives written notice.  If written notice is not received, amounts paid will be forfeited. 

Cancellations to seasonal holiday lighting displays and weddings will be refunded based on the following schedule:

o   More than three weeks (21 days) from installation date – Full refund.

o   Less than three weeks (21 days) from installation date – Full refund minus deposit.

 Cancellations to Jellyfish and Patio/Bistro Lighting displays will be refunded based on the following schedule:

o   More than three weeks (21 days) from installation date – Full refund minus cost of materials.

o   Less than three weeks (21 days) from installation date – Full refund minus deposit.

All that said, we’re reasonable humans, and we will work with you towards an outcome that’s agreeable by all parties.
